Restoration Through Faith

Broken to Beautifully Stitched is a Christian blog rooted in the truth that God is in the business of restoration. It is a space for hearts that have known brokenness and are discovering how faithfully God stitches every fragment into something purposeful and beautiful.

Humans have this deep-seated desire to feel special and unique.  Our identity is our conscious and we want proof that we aren’t insignificant. When someone makes your feel special, it makes us feel like our existence matters.  We don’t want to blend into the crowd to much or we will feel invisible which means we don’t matter.  Backstreet Boys talk about wanting to know they are original.  Are they special?  Do they mean anything to anyone?  They are back – did you miss them?

Everybody
Rock your body
Everybody
Rock your body right
Backstreet's back, alright

Hey, yeah, now

Oh my God, we're back again
Brothers, sisters, everybody sing
Gonna bring the flavor, show you how
Got a question for ya, better answer now, yeah

Am I original? (Yeah)
Am I the only one? (Yeah)

God tells us that we are special

Isaiah 43:4a “Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
    and because I love you,”

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

God created us, special, unique and each of us has a special gift and good works to do.

1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

You are God’s special possession and that means you matter.  You are so important to Him that He sent his son to die for you.

1 John 3:1 “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”

You are a child of the King. You are royal priesthood.  You have a special seat at the table with the King.

You are very special!

Psalm 34 :18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"
