But there must be LOVE

I teach history and so many times I hear people say things like it is just like Nazi Germany. For the most part that is not true. But I will say one thing at the end of WW1 when Germany was failing there was a group that began saying the belief that the German army was not defeated in WW1 by battles but was betrayed at home by socialist, communists and jews. As humans feel helpless and I know a lot of Americans feel helpless or unable to see a bright future. They want to blame someone; they need someone to say this is why my life isn’t good. A study by Capezza & Arriaga (2008) found that “when people feel hopeless, they often try to regain a sense of control by making someone else the cause of their misery.”
God says something different. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you... plans to give you a future and a hope” The future and hope God promises is that you will be with Him in heaven and that life will be beautiful. Life is not Hopeless.
Galatians 6:5 “for each one should carry their own load.” We should examine our own work, don’t compare ourselves to others, take responsibility for your own actions and conduct.
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” There is a way and God is in control.
But I think the most important thing is this: I Corinthians 13:1-3
“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
Love here is a selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional commitment to the well-being of others. We should never hate anyone, we should be selfless, helpful, kind and show the love of God.
God sent his Son to die for us, we should show that love to everyone. I want to live in a world where God’s love is constantly shown, there is no division, yelling or hate.
We are children of God should be the light shining on a hill for all to see the love we have. John 13:35 tells us, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another”
Others will be drawn to the Lord with our Love.
